I do appreciate your concern for your well-being Op, kudos, but always remember: in any situation, a cool clear head is the greatest tool. Being in a city sucks, but can also be an asset. There is so muchaterial and so many good people to draw what you need from. Don't believe everyone wants to steal your stuff, there are more good loving people out there than not, and it is usually easy to tell. The news doesn't often tell the stories of people coming together in order to survive. It happens way more often than you seem to think, and frankly it doesn't sound like you have much survival stuff presently for someone to steal anyways ;).
