CERN Status as of 9/26 (Geneva), Beams dumped due to UFO

THE delay of Yom Kippor is based on the unprecedented sandstorm in Israel that blocked the moon sighting for 2 days. Rosh Hassah? started late, depends if that was a delay.

so, DOOM is delayed how many times so far ? and how many different ways ?.....

Dump what you know, I've had more than a few thoughts of masses of humans being beneath CERN, which I push away since it makes no sense.

The moon sighting was delayed and so was CERN as it became the 23rd in Geneva

this is starting to get down right creepy.

A hole has been opened and they say there has been a intervention with it. I dont know what the hell that means but it sounds like there trying to keep one open and have it be stable.

LHC: fill 4410, injection studies then physics, stable beams declared at 04:15

LHCb:
- Run smoothly with trigger configuration Physics1200 and a typical technical (physics) dead time around 5% (11%)
- The clock shift is around -0.45ns, close to the -0.5ns edge
-> Federico has been emailed
- Low occupancy warning from the PRS, see [link to lblogbook.cern.ch] and
[link to lbproblems.cern.ch]
-> Stephane and Yuri have been emailed
- A plot shows some warning in the "HCAL status overview" presenter page, see [link to lblogbook.cern.ch]
-> Yuri have been emailed
- Most of the errors in the error logger are related to events for which the ODIN bank is not found (one per
minute or so, from various HLT nodes)
- As expected after today intervention, the hole in the muon chambers has shifted from M2 to M4

To be done:
- Continue to take data
- Follow up on clock shift as well as PRS and HCAL warnings

Today's intervention? Doesn't that make it sound like the 24 hour hiatus was for some other reason than a cooling error? Or was the intervention done to solve the cooling (cyrogenic) error, but if so why would it have affected the hole in the muon chambers ?

Sounds like the cryo story was a front while they deal with this "hole" in the Muon chambers that's "moving".

Shoot I don't know. I'm a dummy like the rest of us when it comes to this stuff. The hole appeared today according to the log so the Cryo event was previous to the hole.
