I visited the Georgia Guidestones today - pics
So, i was traveling across Georgia today for business and decided to take a small detour to the Georgia Guidestones just to see them in person for myself. I passed by a beautiful lake and a massive dam that both were 10 or so miles out from the guidestones, but other than that the area was quite remote. Mostly there were churches, pine forests, feed mills, farms, a few trailer parks, and off the road homes.

It's striking at how easily this monument, or whatever it is, could just be completely passed over if you didnt know what you were looking for. There are no signs or advertisements telling you anything about it, except for one lone street sign:

Tmga1

The road leading to it is little more than the little dirt roads leading to private residences that youd see in most out of the way rural areas..

The parking area is nothing more than granite slabs laid down to create a square. The guidestone slabs themselves are quite impressive, and after them the first thing you see are 2 signs clearly indicating that there is surveillance in the area:

Tmga2

Tmga3

Tmga4

There was an adjacent home nearby with many signs clearly indicating to keep the hell out. There was also an old barn nearby that didnt appear to be occupied.

The Georgia Guidestones are accompanied by a stone pedestal as well as a granite slab buried into the ground, both embedded with information on the origin of the stones and some other astronomical and physical characteristics:

Tmga15

Tmga7

Tmga8

That last photo shows something about a time capsule to be dug up but gives no date. I found this odd.

I took some other photos of the stones, including a column drilled into one (indicating the celestial pole) and the horizontal slot (signifying the sun's horizontal travel):

Tmga10

Tmga9

Tmga13

Tmga14

Of course the most famous slab:

Tmga20

I thought the top slab looked rather precarious lying on the three columns, but of course its likely quite sturdy:

Tmga11

I also saw this engraving in a few spots on the slabs - not sure what it means (possibly the contractor?)

Tmga5

Probably the most striking thing about this site is the sheer remoteness. In the 20 minutes of travel off the main highway (where the lake is) and the 30 minutes of being at the guidestones site, i did not encounter a single vehicle or person. I was completely alone , which im usually at extreme peace with, but i was uneasy at this place. It was a bit eerie, for lack of a better word.

Adjacent field:

Tmga6

I drove around a field to get to the opposite side from the stones (maybe 1/2 a mile away or so) as the field above, you can see the security camera and the stones on the horizon:

Tmga12

Again , complete desolation.

Im not sure how, if these stones are a guide as the official story states, why theyre so remote. No future civilization would ever find them in time!

I saw two masonic lodges in the area as well

While not in itself anything of consequence, why did i run across two in a span of 15 miles when i havent seen one in years?

I agree so strange they wouldn't put a date to open the time capsule.

Re: I visited the Georgia Guidestones today - pics
THANK YOU OP my dear for the EXCELLENT PHOTOS!

I visited them too a few years ago. maybe 4? anyway, the desolation, the remote feeling is very strong there.

we drove from the Delmarva Peninsula to Atlanta, side stop to see the Guidestones - NO INCIDENTS the entire trip -

but as we neared the Guidestones, as I have posted here before, something seemed to hit our car, a rock, a stone?

rapidly thereafter we came around a bend to see people sitting in the grass, an accident scene, vehicles off to the side.

hundreds and hundreds of miles, no problems, in less than a mile, the hit of something on the van and then this accident scene.

I got out to help - basically to see if anyone looked like they needed emergency first aid or seemed in shock. I asked a person if they needed help.

"No ma'am." Is help on the way? No indication. We left and continued to the Guidestones, very close by.

A man was there who said he lived nearby, had driven past them, and thought they were some kind of personal garden or monumnent, until he saw something on the Discovery channel about them.

That seemed odd. He was a bit off to us. Something gave me a pain in the chest, what could it be - the achingly beautiful landscape with this monstrosity? Felt oppressed. We left.

We want to return with a shofar - if the walls of Jericho came tumbling down due to its sound - maybe we can chip or crack those things.
