In case you haven't noticed, the only ones who want to go to war are the psycopaths. The problem is not too many normal people actually run governments around the world, and when these people won't listen to reason, war is often the only way to stop them. I agree that we should be finding other ways to resolve differences, and negotiation will always be preferable to war. However, as long as the barbarians are still out there, we'll have to keep our guns at the ready.
