I know that Brian is not suffering anymore. I found out his heart just quit. He had been through so much, with his evil sisters putting him and the dogs out of the house, and all the grief they have caused him all these years.Two weeks after Brian was kicked out of the house, his dog Isis passed away in her sleep. He had found a good home for his dog Isis, and for his mother's dog, Oliver. I think Isis just gave up without Brian. :( So, I got 2 funerals/wakes to go to this week, one for Brian, and the other one for my retired pastors brother. :( Praise God from Whom all Blessings flow !!! |

Thank you. So much.  :group hug:I see several versions of "Baby's First Bible" for sale....so I can't know what is in them  I would like to think that it is pretty basic though. Believers get caught up in arguments over doctrine, all the way up to the point of arguing whether or not Jesus is the Son of God versus Jesus BEING God Himself. (I'm guilty of that one in particular for SURE!) Here is the easiest way I've found to NOT STRAY / be manipulated. Simple Daily Faith Repent for your sins Give thanks for daily blessings...regardless of how simple / "ordinary" they may seem Love others and forgive them as necessary Pray for others and help them if possible Pray / ask the Father to show HIS WILL for you to do Trust in the Father and the Son fully Too many people get side-tracked from these things and focus on various doctrines trying to prove that their denomination / set of beliefs is the correct one. Praise be to God the Father! Thank you Father for your Son Jesus...our Immanuel! I am a humble Servant of the one True Living God. |

Some folks try to say that the meaning of Immanuel "God with us" shows that Jesus is the Father Himself. Jesus states several times in the 4 Gospels that He does ONLY the Father's Will and not His own will. Read John 17, and take note that the entire chapter is Jesus praying to / talking TO the Father. Yet at the same time, Jesus CAN ASK the Father for certain things, and if the Father agrees, then it happens. 2 cases in point. In John 11 we see the story of raising Lazarus from the dead. Notice what Jesus states...and it's pretty clear that Jesus had asked the Father that He would be allowed to raise Lazarus. 40 Jesus saith unto her, Said I not unto thee, that, if thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God? 41 Then they took away the stone [from the place] where the dead was laid. And Jesus lifted up [his] eyes, and said, Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me. 42 And I knew that thou hearest me always: but because of the people which stand by I said [it], that they may believe that thou hast sent me. 43 And when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth. The opposite result happens in Matthew 26, during Jesus' prayers (in Gethsemane) to the Father. It's clear that THIS request by Jesus to the Father was NOT allowed. Matthew 26:39 (KJV) And he went a little further, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying,O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt.   One last thought. Although it's clear that God's Will has always been and will continue to be done, it's also clear that He doesn't micro-manage every single thing in life (think free will), AND He listens and takes into consideration each person's petitions / prayers. 2 Bible stories bear this out. ***Abraham debating God concerning the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah. ***King David being given a choice of punishments over his "census taking" in 2 Samuel 24 / 1 Chronicles 21 [link to www.biblestudytools.com] [link to www.biblestudytools.com] I am a humble Servant of the one True Living God. |
