So glad you enjoyed it! We do need much more positivity in our lives. The world has become very dark and gloomy, yet we are meant to be the light and the salt.

Luke 18: 18And a certain ruler asked him, saying, Good Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?
21 And he said, All these have I kept from my youth up. 22 Now when Jesus heard these things, He said unto him, Yet lackest thou one thing: sell all that thou hast, and distribute unto the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, follow Me. 23 And when he heard this, he was very sorrowful: for he was very rich. 24 And when Jesus saw that he was very sorrowful, He said, how hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God!


This is just one of the many passages Jesus explains there are no shortcuts to Heaven. That young man lived a life from his youth I certainly did not. I failed on a grand scale following the commandments.
1. You shall have no other gods before Me.
2. You shall make no idols.
3. You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain.
4. Keep the Sabbath day holy.
5. Honor your father and your mother.
6. You shall not murder.
7. You shall not commit adultery.
8. You shall not steal.
9. You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.
10. You shall not covet.

I went to church and knew of God but did not follow, Luke 10:27 the Commandment Jesus gave. That young man kept all those but we see it is not just about that.
”Luke 18: 17 Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child shall in no wise enter therein. “

Without meaning to we have created shortcuts to following Jesus, satan is very clever. Today I wanted to take a shortcut in what my call is but was reminded of,
“Luke 13:24 Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able. 25 When once the master of the house is risen up, and hath shut to the door, and ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us; and he shall answer and say unto you, I know you not whence ye are.”26 Then shall ye begin to say, We have eaten and drunk in thy presence, and thou hast taught in our streets. 27 But he shall say, I tell you, I know you not whence ye are; depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity. 28 There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when ye shall see Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets, in the kingdom of God, and you yourselves thrust out.”


There is coming that day in Luke 13 and many will be like the man in Luke 18 calling all on he did or did not do. There is no shortcut to Heaven and if it where not for Jesus Christ , I would be hearing those dreadful words , “depart from me.” Following Jesus Christ is not easy and there are no shortcuts. Jesus Christ was not some easy button that did away with what God's will is.
Please read Hebrew 10, 11 and 12 without stopping .
Hebrews 10:26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, 27 But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.

The Bible is One Book, One Story. It was not easy for Moses , David , Peter or Paul. Jesus on the Cross did not change Who God is or what God loves and hates. Today when I wanted a shortcut and easy day, I was reminded of that day on the Cross that our Mediator and Salvation faced .

“Luke 22:42 Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.”
What a whiner I am...

Look at those commandments ,Jesus did not do away with them, He helped us love them and want to follow them.”
“1 John 2: 3 And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. 4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. 5 But whoso keepeth His word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in Him.”

We do not have a Moses telling us how to follow God, we have Jesus Christ that made the Word of God living and left us the Holy Spirit of God , to help us follow Him.

“Acts 2: 38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. 39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.”
“Peter 1:16 Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy. “

Now look again at those 10 Commandments and look at which ones are being broken in our lives willfully. Luke 18 shows us following them will not get us into Heaven but following the first Commandment Jesus gave makes the rest our aim.

“ Luke 10:27 And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself.”

Once we can follow Luke 10:27 then the 10 are not hard.

“1 John 5:3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.”

Please stay away from strange doctrines as we where warned about in 2 Timothy. Read and know the Bible better than those that teach it , it is the most important thing we will do in our life.

Luke 9:34 While he thus spake, there came a cloud, and overshadowed them: and they feared as they entered into the cloud.
Luke 21: 27 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.


John 4:24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

I have loved clouds since I was a child and they are very mysterious at times.
The Lord answered a question for me today I have had since I was a child. When I was 7 years old I had a recurring dream that scared me and I remember it to this very day. When I would wake up frightened my dad and mom would try and make me describe the dream. It was not easy to describe because it was of darkness and strange clouds. My dad trying to fix things made me sit in the dark outside on our porch to overcome being afraid of the dark. I was not that afraid on the porch of that darkness , I was afraid of the darkness and strange clouds in my dreams I did not understand.

Today for the first time the Lord put all the pieces of the puzzle together for me. The clouds today where somewhat strange. Some where dark, light , thick , thin , moving, not moving and some had strange shapes. This made me thing of that dream over 50 years ago. If my mom and dad had the Word of God written on their hearts like John 4:24 they would have been able to help me more.

This is what was revealed to me today. That property and house we lived in had many tragic events.
In this one place a tornado came and blew the town away and we where trapped in the cellar from debris. The owner shot and killed himself , my mom had a head on car crash that near killed her. I stuck a wielding rod in my eye and someone that was injured left bloody rags in the cellar. That is just the things I can remember.

Those dreams went away when we moved , I have had other kinds of dreams since that time I knew where of the Lord. Here is what brought me to my knees God knew when I was 7 ,who I would be in Him now. I was not ready for that information till now. We are clueless most of the time , Who we say we love , Who we pray to.

Much and I do mean much, darkness was in that place long ago and there will be dark days ahead. There where very bright clouds in those dreams just like there was today. Our hope in in Luke 21: 37 when those dark clouds come.

I just want to thank you all for who you are in Christ. I was so exited to share this story but my husband explained it away and my mom changed the subject. My heart hurts I have no Spirit filled person other than you all

I love you but it would be nice if my husband could know God like I do, because he can see what God does in my life.

When I pray for you, I keep coming up with the same thing. God is training you for something you cannot yet see.

Anyway, I cannot imagine how you feel because I have always had people in my life, within my family, that love God and do understand. Even my husband, is willing to listen and let God in. Love ya and will keep you in my prayers. It will all work out.

Praying for you too...I can relate my childhood was difficult in that my parents were divorced when I was very young...there's a lot I could talk about but I can't right now....I really do understand how hard it is when you trust and confide in someone and they take what you tell them and use it against you...

Asking our Lord and Savior to have mercy on GFG...I have been reading the Way of the Pilgrim..It's available as a Pdf I have to go look for link...

I put that in parentheses because I have seen it written with and without those words...

You have my sympathy and understanding about your family members not getting it...they may come to understanding in the future so try to be patient and surrender the situation as mush as you can to the Lord...I understand how hard that can be when you have been hurt so try not to think about it too much....

My step father (who was disabled in a wheelchair) was very cruel to me as a child it took me years to forgive him but I did it eventually...nothing physical just very verbally abusive and it really hurt me...I could write more about my childhood but it's not necessary right now,,,
