And they are setting themselves up, to find that out directly. As someone who has lost my faith more than once over the decades..there is no feeling more desperate than feeling like you were abandoned by God. I think that is why they call it Hell. And if you've ever been sick with the actual flu..or pneumonia..or a range of other horribly painful conditions..you'll find yourself seeking out other humans..when praying fails. lol
