I was listening to these two the morning of 9/11. I remember Robin basically saying "This can't be right. They're saying another plane hit the tower". That's how I initially found out. Talk about a surreal morning.
But I never heard this convo until now.

It's a fact that there were celebrations. We were in temporary housing in Irvine, CA at the time and living in a big apartment complex with people from all around the world, there were cheers that morning as we watched everything on tv. Our patio sliders were open and people were in the courtyard clapping and cheering,all day into the evening there were parties and laughing. It was creepy and we moved out that week. There were several policemen that came to the parking garage looking around near my car and when I walked up with my kids, they asked about a guy who parked next to me. I had seen him the morning of the 11th in the elevator and he told me his parents and cousin worked at a restaurant in one of the towers , and he was driving to NYC to try to find them. He also told me, I was a good mom and that I should not ride in any elevators with anyone looking like him (M.E.), he said that there were a lot of scum in the apartments where we were and that he hoped we could move out very soon. Weird, huh? Our house was ready a few days later and I spoke to the policemen who were checking some of the apartments- they said they had been watching several people in the buildings.

cook county courthouse in Bridgview IL the morning of 9/11..they were out there dancing and celebrating and people were stopping their cars and getting out and trying to beat them up, cook county sheriffs were all over the place stopping people and one sheriff told my friend who happened to be one of the ones walking to kick their ass that as much as he wants to let him kick their ass and he wants to beat the sh** out of them too, he can't and he has to stop the people from trying to. It was crazy bad.
