Quoting: Anonymous Coward 71177922 Get off your ass and buy something BETTER. Not from a supermarket. Is is a coincidence you didn't mention Purina and I did, and you said you were feeding it... Get off your ass tomorrow and stop being a fucking idiot torturing your dog. Exactly what my hubby said, howeever, Ive tried different good brands and he doesnt like it. Hibby says he'll eat it if yheres no other food. I will change from Purina to a new brand. Im taking him to vet tomorrow and see what vet says as well and recommends for my chihuahua to eat. you'll waste more money. But, vets prey on the ill-educated If your dog doesn't like it, feed the wildlife. Start with a limited ingredient diet. Make sure to switch up flavors in the same brand to keep you poor pooch from eating the same boring shit, day in, day out Limited Ingredient [link to www.chewy.com (secure)] bump |

I will look into it and research more As for the vet, I want to make sure these tranqulizers I gave him is not going to effect make him worse. If he can go without, by me judt taking care of him when he has a seizure and feeding him better name brand food, then I will do that. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 32037934 United States 01/30/2016 05:04 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | my little dog began having seizures around every 6 months. I made some changes I felt were needed like stopped all GMO. She stopped having the seizures after around 5 or 6 episodes. Never took her to the vet for them. vets will suck you dry. use them for real emergencies. |

User ID: 67938009 United States 01/30/2016 05:09 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | My chihuahua almost age 13 (March 24th he'll turn 13) had his first seizure. Lasted about w or 3 minutes. I took him to Banfield right afterwards, of course I was freaked out. They took blood test, check his heart and everything was fine with him. They told me watch him for next 24 hours and if he has another one, he'll need to see a nuerologist. Quoting: Indysmindy They also gave me a prescription for tranquilers ( 2 and it cost me $465, the office visit was another $300). They told me to buy the tranquilizers and give it to him if he has another seizure. Now this past Monday he had another one, lasted about 3 minutes. I gave him the tranquilizer. He was distraight for a while n hot n hyper after a while them calmed down. Now my question is this, is this common in older dogs and is ther any way I can buy medicine for him that is less expensive. I want to see a vet tomorrow and be prepared with questions about my dog. Any advice or input? Plus, should I purchase health insurance for him now, since this med is expensive? Any info on health insurance for dogs? I have a little chiweenie. She started having episodes. I stopped using flea shampoo and flea treatments other than one of those main brands Advantix? Anyway, if you use one of those types of flea drops, you might want to change to another, some my vet said more benign than others, and just don't use any additional stuff. I think some of these are sensitive to them. I also gave her less little sweet treats. She has a little pituitary tumor that causes Cushings. I worried about that but her episodes are gone. I had a GSD with Grand Mal. We went with the medication which heavily sedated him. Oh, that was hard, he'd be drunk for days to start. They worked for awhile but then the seizures started building again. We didn't do a catscan but the doc thought it was a brain tumor. I always kinda wondered if he could have Lyme's because of some of the other symptoms. I had started him on thyroid medication and three months later they began. Just wondered if there was a correlation...someone with another breed had the same thing happen. With your little dog I'd just reduce any chemical flea treatments and don't overdo the drops. Seems like it might have taken a couple months for improvements. Now none at all. I bet that's what it is. Someone else here mentioned it too. |

So simple! Dog food is literally toxic poison. Stop with the dog food immediately. Get some books on the subject of what's really in the dog food, you will be amazed. |
