Man...that game got weird at the end.
Cam Newton did not get down on his own ball. Just gave up. Super sloppy play all around. Sacks.
Plus, penalties did not happen right.

I felt like the last 3:00 minutes of clock were so humiliating for the Panthers. Esp Cam newton. Jeez. Put him out there and have him flounder in vain in a microcosm of the shit show he had just partook in.

And I feel like most of his passes (look at the first 5 or so in the first part of the game. Totally overshoots his man. Like this dude is a laser. i dont get it.
Did he not show up at all?

The refs can only do so much to throw it.

I've watched both play and it will be a game that comes down to making plays with your mind and your arm. Denver's defense is ridiculously good. They are the fastest defense I've ever seen in the front 7. The reason they even lost any games this year was because of Peyton Manning playing so dumb during the middle part of the season. Since he has toned it down they have been like a wall.

The difference here is schedule. Denver played a way more difficult schedule by far. To me it is rather simple for Denver to win this game. As long as Peyton Manning does not turn the ball over through the air they will win. Carolina isn't going to beat Denver up front running the football.

Denver's game plan and their leadership from top to bottom-GM down to players-will outclass an up and coming panther squad.

I am a saints fan and watched them play the panthers twice this year and came away not impressed whatsoever. The saints had them beat twice and let them off the hook and they sucked hard this year. You can throw on the panthers when you play with balance. Denver has become balanced with the run over the last 6 games and will continue to do so.

I honestly think Denver matches up too well for Carolina and had it been New England Carolina would have won a close game.

I see Denver winning this about 24-10. No way in heck manning attempts to play gun slinging it all over the field and compromise his defense.

If Carolina wins it will be by earning it. Don't say I didn't warn ya'll about this trap game. The impundits truly know it are playing the field HARD. Always remember #1 defenses win championships. Two weeks to prepare is plenty of time to dissect everything they do. Carolina's pass defense is suspect and will be exploited early and often.

When you have 3 or 4 grown ass men bearing down on your arse every play you would be a little errant too. Did you not see the same game?? Dude was being molested on every snap almost. So, even on plays where he has time, in his mind he is still thinking, "Man they are about to hit me".. Fear. Denver instilled fear and you would be fearful too with that speed and power about to break you off every other play.

Those are why those passes were wild. Denver made Tom Brady do the same junk and also Ben Roethlisberger in the playoffs. They are PRETTY GOOD.

yeah you are right. Denver's defense was omnipotent. They wouldn't even let Manning pass it at the end of the game. Rather punt it back to carolina and let Broncos defense run down the clock..ha

i watched a lot of Broncos games this year (huge nfl fan) and this game was not some aberration-this was how they played all year.

They forced a big turnover against Pittsburgh and held the patriots all game; even when you were beginning to think the patriots were going to pull ahead---fumble.

They beat the Chiefs in week 2 with a defensive touchdown. It is how they played all year. I was perplexed how they talked about the Carolina defense forcing all these turnovers (and they did), but Denver was doing the same thing all year.

The difference in this game were the turnovers that led to the touchdowns (so the spot on the field). I still do not understand why Carolina didn't line up and play smash mouth early and do some bootlegs off of it to get Cam in space. They were trying to play to Denver's strength and it mystified me as a fan. No team all year has done it successfully except for the Steelers ONCE with the best receiving corps in football.

That's about the sum of it.

The Panthers had a pretty lax schedule all year compared to Denver. The D for Denver is just tough and fast. Seeing them dismantle the Patriots sealed the deal for me.
