New Show - The Real O'Neals "Typical Irish-Catholic Family"

As a Catholic I expect this show will be very inaccurate and perpetuate common misconceptions about Catholics just as anything else about Catholics or the Catholic Church on tv is. Nothing new.

I've got an idea for an ABC show - Dish Daesh. Follow the hilarious adventures of an islamic family that washes dishes in a lebanese restaurant. Dad and Mom love mohammad, and follow the tenets of the religion to the extreme. Mom wears a head to toe burqa, and is played by a different actor every week (nice shtick, right?). They love mohammad so much that they keep a statue of him on the toilet tank (yes, you can't iconify mohammad, that's why it's funny). Middle son Rafiq is a transgendered teen that wears a burqa. The family loves him/her, though, so it is touching. Follow the antics as Rafiq attempts to avoid beheading while spreading laughter and joy. Gilbert Gottfried appears as mohammad in imagined conversations with Rafiq (and he wears a suicide vest, just for fun, you know). THAT is a show I would watch.
