As an evangelical, I say screw the conservative lying party! Fake liars and cheaters. Trump is real!! Trump2016 Quoting: tamaralori I have to ask, as an evangelical, how can you support Trump who has said on record that while he considers himself a Christian he has never had to ask for forgiveness for anything. His mantra was "just don't make mistakes in the first place". Personally, as being Jewish I don't understand how any religious person could answer this way. I believe Jews and Christians have this in common; the need for prayer, forgiveness and atonement on a daily basis. To me, this just shows the height of arrogance and narcissism and is a DANGEROUS trait. Even if you agree with him on the issues; build a wall, strong borders, keep us safe, have strong treaties; doesn't it worry you that this is a major personal and spiritual flaw in this man who may be the next president of the united states; and in control of a nuclear arsenal? |

Trump and his supporters are incensed that Muslims are beheading and drowning Christians, like we're back in the stone ages, and not one country, except it seems Russia, is doing anything about it. Trump has vowed RELIGIOUS FREEDOM in this country. He wants you to be able to express yourself with "Merry Christmas," if you are so inclined, without fear of "offending" someone for basically wishing them love. If you're a Christian, there is nothing better than the freedom to be able to express yourself without fear of the government coming down on you! It applies to Jews, as well. It's just the freedom to be able to express ourselves without fear, while living in western nation. Trump is about freedom and common sense. He's winning the most religious of them all - the Evangelicals. There is a reason for that. |

BTW, Glen Beck is there and didn't he threaten to stab Trump this morning? When is Ted Cruz going to disavow Beck and his threatening people with violence and calling people "Nazis?" Cruz tells people to calm down and breathe? While he allows his campaign surrogate to go around screeching his hate? Hypocrite! Much as I can't stand Rubio, his comment about "wanting to as a question after the yoga was done" made me laugh out loud. Agree, though, with everything that you wrote. Will Cruz stand up and chastise Beck? What would Kasich say about this? Did anyone else miss Carson last night? I got to admit, I have a soft spot for him, even though I knew he didn't have a chance. Did you think that Rubio and Cruz collaborated to create that moment? Beck is already denying he said that and claims he said it too one of his ridiculous sidekicks. Either way, rather stupid... |

Quoting: Cigarette_Smoking_Man CPAC people speak to media outlets and have a lot of influence. Not sure what the rationale is here. It was another set up. Just like the Fox debate. Smart move on Trump's part. I heard that the neocons were going to walk out on him and make a big stink during his speech. Trump doesn't need to play their games anymore. |

You are trying to re-make Trump into your image and imposing your standard on to him. Prayer, forgiveness and atonement is your litmus test but not every one else's. Only you can search into your heart and decide which, at this point in history, is it more important to have a strong leader who will do his best to protect us all in a very dangerous world or not? My father told me that perhaps the most religious president that this country had in the modern era was Jimmy Carter. Forgive me, but I prefer a man willing to fight rather than one on his knees. As an evangelical, I say screw the conservative lying party! Fake liars and cheaters. Trump is real!! Trump2016 Quoting: tamaralori Right on brother Absolutely right on! This Republican party has been lying to the people for way too long! They take the conservative vote for granted and when they get into office, they turn their backs on their constituents and care only about their own power and money. They're conniving thieves. They steal our trust, our freedom and our future, all the while lining their pockets and building their kingdoms. They should have fought for us and voted down the abysmal healthcare tax, but they left us hanging in the wind. All of us - democrats and republicans. - and most of the time - THEY EXEMPT THEMSELVES FROM HAVING TO PARTICIPATE in these ridiculous laws they create!!! They've begun to think of themselves as kings and the people as serfs. How many times have we heard that they'll fight tomorrow, but tomorrow never comes. Trump wants to end all this. That is why they are fighting him (and US) so viciously. And that is why so many of us are sticking with him and supporting him. That's the only way we will have change. It's truly our last chance to be free. Trump 2016! |

You were in a fist fight once and you rushed home for your padded bicycle helmet, screaming, "Don't hit me, don't hit me, until I put on my helmet!" Sometimes it takes more courage to not do something than to do something. He's smart, CPAC is a waste of precious time. Besides, honestly think Trump would rather be with ordinary Americans and not these impudent wealthy conservatives wishing to push their will and morals on the entire country. |

Trump is THE shaker and mover. They need to get the fuck out of the way. The whole point is Trump doesn't need donors. He has no need to grovel and kiss ass for donor money. People are so hard wired to accept politicians as money whores, that the magnitude of Trump telling donors to kiss his ass goes right over their head. Imagine winning the lottery and going to work the next day, and telling your boss to kiss your ass and to shove the job. A Moe Green moment. I don't need your fucking money. I'm Moe Green. You don't buy me out. I buy you out. |

Anyway, guy spoke to some guy named miller who is the one running the pac for the baseball family who wants to take down trump. Interestingly enough, the guy used to work for Jeb, what a coincidence right? So, the guy who used to work for JEb is now running the pac against trump initiated by the baseball owners and then I go searching and find out jeb/romney had a secret meeting in utah in january. So, they've been planning this for a long time. This miller guy said they are fielding commercials about trump university and giving all the lies that rubio was spouting. So cruz and rubio are involved with this too because the talking points litany of this miler super pac guy was exactly the same litany spouted by romney, spouted by the cuban bobsey twins, spouted by the lady at cpac who claims she runs the tea party.... It really is an effort on all fronts. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 69496339 United States 03/04/2016 07:19 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | NATIONAL HARBOR, Maryland—When Donald Trump takes the stage to speak at the Conservative Political Action Conference on Saturday, there just might be an uprising. Quoting: Hard Eight “We’re gonna do a walk-out on Mr. Trumpster,” William Temple—a fixture at the conservative convention held just outside Washington, D.C., who Newsweek once described as the face of the Tea Party—said Thursday, eagerly telling anyone who would listen about his plans to defy the Donald. [link to www.theatlantic.com] He was smart to pull out... just another Establishment ambush in the making. He'd rather rally and address THE PEOPLE than pander to a room full of politico shitheads. It would have been smarter to address the shortcomings of last night by clarifying his positions, policies, and plans in a coherent, precise manner. The media last night was attacking him for being inconsistent, and for excessively deploying ad hominem instead of answering the questions. He alone is making the republican party look like a joke. I am not a republican, but I can still imagine how damaging this is to the party. But at the same time, it presents an opportunity. The way he was attacked, well it really wasn't an attack. I would argue that what we saw last night was good journalism. ALL candidates should be vetted and called out on. No one should be allowed to dodge questions, and all must be confronted with their contradictions and undeveloped platforms. |
