New GLP Prediction True to form, the RNC will treat the convention like a formality and will not give Trump or Cruz the nomination (thank the fucking lord). They will bend, change or eliminate their own rules to S-elect the person they want. Have a look at these poll numbers. General Election: Trump vs. Clinton IBD/TIPP Clinton 47, Trump 35 Clinton +12 General Election: Cruz vs. Clinton IBD/TIPP Clinton 44, Cruz 39 Clinton +5 General Election: Kasich vs. Clinton IBD/TIPP Kasich 45, Clinton 38 Kasich +7 General Election: Trump vs. Sanders IBD/TIPP Sanders 53, Trump 36 Sanders +17 General Election: Cruz vs. Sanders IBD/TIPP Sanders 50, Cruz 38 Sanders +12 General Election: Kasich vs. Sanders IBD/TIPP Sanders 45, Kasich 42 Sanders +3 Kasich most likely got a phone call from someone in the RNC telling him to stick it out. His campaign is pretty much hopeless to pathetic on the delegate front, but they just recently changed the rules to make pretty much anyone from Kasich to Mickey Mouse eligible for the nomination. Kasich will stick it out until the very end with his 100ish delegates and will move on with the nomination. Not really a prediction really, just a logical conclusion based on RNC behavior in the past. The public polls consistently put Kasich over Clinton and Sanders, probably because he isnt shrewd against gays and is pretty much in the middle when it comes to everything but the 2nd amendment. For that last point, I say kick his ass to the fucking curb - but one thing all you GLPers have to realize is this: The POTUS has very limited power over things that are outside of the executive branch. If this were untrue, we would all be wearing turbans, be gunless, probably forced to be gay, and be paying 100% in taxes. Hasn't happened yet under Obama. Remember that Obamacare is a product of a democrat majority legislature. It wasn't Obama that produced the monstrosity. It was the Congress. He only signed it into law. There are distinct limits to the Presidents power. Thank FUCKING GOD. Anyway, the point is, the most important part of this election season is the CONGRESSIONAL ELECTION. Don't worry about the potus, doesn't matter if its Clinton, Sanders, Trump, Cruz or Kasich or even Mickey, the real power is the branch of the people which is: THE CONGRESS. So learn up on your seat that is most likely up for grabs this year and vote accordingly. I think this is your last chance to get it right.

I'd say at least 500 of them, which is pretty much all of them. If they won't vote for term limits into law, the only recourse we as a people have is to institute term limits on our own through our vote.

New GLP Prediction Good post OP I think Cruz has been out of the equation for a long time, although it seems many on the Right are still fixated on his candidacy. He has no chance of getting the nomination from the delegate count and the establishment will never select him. Trump will certainly have, by far, the most delegates, but the establishment will find a way to screw him out of it. They'll probably push for Kasich, maybe Ryan, or some other unelectable RINO, thereby assuring a Clinton presidency. And all the folks on the Right who have been obsessing over a Cruz nomination, which is a virtual impossibility at this point, will eventually realize they wasted their time and energy focused on denying Cruz the nomination he was never going to get. Pissing in the wind.
