Why? Because I am hungry. So you are hungry, so what? Well if I eat, I won't be hungry and then I'll feel good. Ah ha! Feel good! Now there is a real item. What we really seek is not the surface goals. They are just means to an end." this is the only way |

[link to breatharian.info] Quoting: Anonymous Coward 72269884 what does everyone think? I'm not much into these types of things, but I will say that if I eat at lunch during my work day I'm ruined for the rest of the day. If I eat before work I don't feel like working. Anytime I break one of these rules I regret it. These reasons are why I won't eat until I finish working. Eating puts me into relax mode and winds me down for the rest of the evening. For me digestion slows down my physical movement and likely my mental processing. let's get rid of break fast then I don't eat that either. One meal a day after all is done keeps me straight. "The fundamental question of our time is whether the West has the will to survive. ... Our own fight for the West does not begin on the battlefield — it begins with our minds, our wills, and our souls... Americans, Poles, and the nations of Europe value individual freedom and sovereignty. We must work together to counter forces, whether they come from inside or out, from the South or the East, that threaten over time to undermine these values and to erase the bonds of culture, faith and tradition that make us who we are. I am here today not just to visit an old ally, but to hold it up as an example for others who seek freedom and who wish to summon the courage and the will to defend our civilization." ~President Donald J Trump "...sometimes, you have to be a high-riding bitch to survive. Grain avoidance is related to multifaceted Chinese cultural beliefs. For instance, bigu fasting was the common medical cure for expelling the sanshi 三尸 "Three Corpses", the malevolent, grain-eating spirits that live in the human body (along with the hun and po souls), report their host's sins to heaven every 60 days, and carry out punishments of sickness and early death. Avoiding "grains" has been diversely interpreted to mean not eating particular foodstuffs (food grain, cereal, the Five Grains, wugu, or staple food), or not eating any food (inedia, breatharianism, or aerophagia). In the historical context of traditional Chinese culture within which the concept of bigu developed, there was great symbolic importance connected with the five grains and their importance in sustaining human life, exemplified in various myths and legends from ancient China and throughout subsequent history. User ID: 74662433 Brazil 04/13/2017 11:07 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | There's this book "A Treatise on the Yoga Philosophy" i saw some time ago that deals about how the yogis of india lived (1882). If i recall correctly, it says that the indian sages used to observe the animals and imitate their lifestyles. i.e eating only rice and milk, breathing very little, etc. IMO, this kind of practices should only be followed by really determined people who live a life of holiness and asceticism. We have to keep in mind that the physical necessities of each person has many variables, all consequence of their previous lifestyle. Some might need to eat meat, while other might live on nuts and milk. To change our current state is usually a long process of many years and sometimes many lives. I'll state the obvious and say that eating just enough, never becoming full, as well as a vegetarian diet, will in most cases lead to a longer and healthier life. But you should not go full new-age nutjob and try to feed on sunlight because it raises your vibrations and will take you to the 95th dimension of jupiter. "Knock, and He'll open the door. Vanish, and He'll make you shine like the sun. Fall, and He'll raise you to the heavens. Become nothing, and He'll turn you into everything." |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 4616105 We actually dont need that much food to begin with, our liver transmutes 10-20 thousand calories a day from various sources. Whn we eat to much it has to use stored energy to break down the new food. Humans diet is supposed to be certain plant oils and proteins. That is it. Meat and processed stuff is so bad |
