I assume they're decent people until proven otherwise. In business, that has been a big problem, too. I have had plenty of good experiences with black folks at work, but I've also had a good number of them get my companies in trouble with fraud issues. In my personal life, I have had a black guy try to carjack me and another one try to burglarize me, and I lived in a bad part of town where I was awoken every night to gunfire. I've had a friend successfully carjacked and a sister of a friend raped and murdered, and her body burned and dumped in a field, all by black guys. I have no such stories of white people, or any other ethnic group, for that matter, and I have spent the vast majority of my life living in white-majority areas.

Besides all that, I still give everyone the benefit of the doubt. And it's because I am a Christian, since you asked earlier. That said, I am also a human being with a working mind, and I cannot ignore statistics and crimes, and I will continue to comment on them when the shoe fits.

I'm Indian by the way but look mostly white.

One of the smartest professors I ever got to have. She studied Linguistics at MIT. She was at dinky Catholic University. With the dinky white teachers earning their Masters degrees crying oh it's hard to have to read the book at home, you should drop tiny mrsels in our open mouths. I was so afraid they would in lime they ruin everything but she did not cave to them. She maintaomed her standarda. She organised tutorials for them and she taught the best Intro to Linguistics class someone like me was ever going to get. She could have succumbed to the pressure to dumb it down but she was too honest to do that. I appreciate it thirty years later. I still have the textbook.
