However, I've seen some articles that claim ultimately the Chinese want a partial backing with gold, since they probably hold over 10,000 tons

That means the dollar will receive a 50% haircut in global markets as banks dump dollars from about 67% currently to 33%

BTW-I think the IMF percentages are off a bit...I read somewhere that the US percentage would not change that much, so a minimal impact on the dollar was expected...now Rickards is saying TEOTWAWKI is September 30 with the SDR reallocation...so we should look into it and see what the real percentages are...I'll do some digging if I have time.
