Plenty of time to carve a pumpkin.

Just went through the entire thread. Great memories of years gone by (have I been here that long?), and great contributions for this year.

I'm pissed. I had pumpkins on the list because I was going to try something for the contest this year. The damn store only had ONE PUMPKIN left. ONE! I wasn't fond of the shape. Dammit! I probably should have bought the damn thing.

I had the same thing happen. Went today to get mine and there were 4 and all were starting to rot. I hope I find one tomorrow.

Odd shaped pumpkins can inspire some of the weirdest and greatest of carvings!

If I find one tomorrow, I know what I've got in mind! It's not all that fabulous, but it's current to the climate and comments here. :D

Thanks man! It looked alright last week, but now it just looks like shit with a candle behind it. I'm surprised nobody has smashed it yet, but then again I know my neighbors too well...

It is a tough year.

First year was the most difficult. It was like pulling teeth but we needed the release then.

It is a labor of love.


Right now this rubber band of emotions people are going though is not helping the creativity.

I should have had my idea by now. At this time last year I gave up and lit flea market Barbie on fire for the benefit of the greater good!


I have three ideas this year but no break through idea.

I might have to read back through all the years.

I'm sorry man. That pumpkin just died in the Ohio sun. It looked alright for a week or two, but now I'm afraid I'll have no treat-or-treat visitors. It's okay, this WHOREedous bitch of a Plumpkin will sit on my apartments front door until CHRISTMAS for all I care... PS Yes it's mine.

At this rate I'm scraping anything together.

But I suspect we will get more then a handful of entries before the contest ends.

I will load the WHOREedous pumpkin tomorrow, may it rot in peace.

You could always kill it with fire. Don't get arrested though, no illegal activities!

Ok, got my pumpkin. So when I was out shopping I found something that instantly gave me another idea, now I'm switching it up.
