As the article states (albeit subtly), anyone committing a crime will be prosecuted. The premise of the game is that a group of people will be left in the Siberian wilderness to fend for themselves for 9 months. Anyone left at the end gets to share the prize. The author speculates that human nature will drive the participants to become wild animals and commit atrocities towards each other. I suspect that the winners of the game will be the ones that cooperate with each other and learn to pool their talents and resources to increase their odds of making it to the end of the game.
