The continents are ancient and some regions have existed for more than 3,800 million years but in geological time scales the ocean floor is relatively young and ranges from only about 200 million years old at the continents to areas at the mid-ocean ridges that are still forming today. When the dinosaurs first evolved none of today's ocean floor existed. This ancient ocean floor and the continents can be rejoined together by placing them on a smaller diameter Earth. They all fit together neatly in one continuous shell. |

Quoting: .Psychedelic. Over the centuries there have been a lot of theories about a hollow earth and an expanding Earth and how or what processes could cause a planet to grow. The video below is by Neal Adams who reignited the expanding Earth debate. Neil Adams has his own unique ideas about the mechanics of how the planet could have grown. They are not necessarily what others who are interested in exploring the idea of the possibility of the planets having expanded at some time in the past. [link to www.youtube.com (secure)] But how or what would trigger, cause, energize an Expanding Earth? What processes or mechanism could help with a Growing Earth? Could the energy and perhaps if extra mass is needed, come from what seems to be planet Earth receiving and exchanging energy and molecules/matter with our Sun and perhaps in a circuit with our solar system? With the other solar system bodies such as planets, moons, active asteroids and comets part of a plasma circuit and solar system engine? :ohlook: |

Just a rant of thoughts Hell im no scientist but seems to make sense to me Oh and consider the organic influence on the whole thing. Nature fluffs it up too I am thinking Earths core is Plasma, it is energized at the poles by solar and cosmic rays, along with cosmic dust. If the core is liquid plasma and is spinning all cosmic matter would be flung to the outside of the core and as it builds up it then gets pushed up through the asthenosphere, causing earthquakes and volcanic eruptions and expanding the earth. I believe during times of low solar activity, is when earth grows most, that's when our shields are weaker due to lack of energy from the sun, this allows more cosmic rays and dust into our atmosphere and core, and this triggers more earthquakes and volcanic activity. |

Explains some sink holes, displacements, landslides and growing mountain ranges, new volcanic islands. I'm sure the theory can be supported by molten core and vulcanism theories. In 1987 I realized that the dinosaurs' large size could be explained by a reduced gravity and then soon realized that the most likely cause of a reduced gravity was a smaller diameter, less massive Earth. I'd never heard of the Expanding Earth theory before reasoning that the dinosaurs must live in a reduced gravity, but when I did learn about the geological evidence for an Expanding Earth it was soon evident that a Reduced Gravity Earth is exactly what an Increasing Mass Expanding Earth also predicted [link to www.dinox.org] |

Anonymous Coward (OP) User ID: 73761499 Canada 01/13/2017 12:22 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Today some of the evidence for the concept of dinosaurs living in reduced gravity has been repeated in many scientific papers and books including, Earth Universe Cosmos, Terra Non Firma Earth, Gravity and Expanding Earth - and the list is still growing. If the Increasing Mass Expanding Earth is the correct solution for the evidence, then were has the extra mass come from? I believe the most logical explanation is that cosmic material regularly adds extra mass to the Earth. Yearly ‘cosmic showers’ adds small amounts of materials over short periods, but over geological time we know there are ‘cosmic storms’ that must add vast amounts of new material. This cosmic material is transported by geological processes that we observe today (erosion, sediment transport and subduction), into the interior of the Earth where it separates out into lighter and heavier elements. The Sun is the greatest influence on the earth, so probably plays into this. That the earth grows is of little doubt, so "Why" is what we're looking for. Next question is : what happens when Earth reaches some critical mass? Change orbit? Accumulation of space debree over eons should also be considered.
