We are not a democracy, we were never promised a democracy we were promised a republic of the people. They do not even know we are not to ever say we are a democracy. Founders were very clear on this point, we are not building a democracy because a democracy leads to theocracies, Monarchies or dictatorships.
I would not care if the person saying this was for or against anyone or thing, but this is a senator who does not recognize we are not a constitutional democracy but a constitutional republic. By doing so, he telling me he has no idea what this country is.
