I've watched enough "my 600 lb life" to know, she's not going in for surgery.

She's going on a diet, to be monitored, with no chance of family/neighbors to help feed her.

Once she loses hundreds of pounds over MONTHS, then she may get gastric bypass (impossible and senseless to do at current weight with absolutely NO handle on consumption after surgery).

If she survives (doubtful) all that, she'll need to walk and move about all day, which she doesn't want to do and will cry and rage and fight every step.

In the end, she will gain weight even with most of her stomach cut out.

Successful weight loss is done by people way before they get to her weight and long before they've spent over 20 years being homebound.

When you're that large, the body becomes much more efficient.

You simply urinate and take dumps within the folds of your natural ecosystem. The feces and urine are trapped and reabsorb into your body.

I could not want to live with myself if I weighed 1/4th of that weight. How hard is it to just stop eating to prevent gaining that much weight. Eat something with zero calories, such as a salad.

first, there are many people 1/4 that weight that are completely healthy and active... second, not eating causes your metabolism to shut down and you will gain weight every time you eat anything. it will be immediately turned to fat as a protection from starvation. not eating is never a good idea, it makes the problem a million times worse.
