New Logan movie was unlike anything you'll ever see again as a superhero movie.

It is the best thing to come out of the Wolverine franchise and by far the most unexpected take on the character. It's so different in the approach with a aged out team of geriatric superheros at the end of their years barely keeping it together, struggling to just put food on the table, living in a dilapidated abandon factory and in hiding. They are in a very dark place and clearly finished with their superhero past.

So it's not one of those fun happy ending movies where everyone flashes how cool their powers are and show off their spandex butts. It is a really dark, gritty movie that actually invokes emotion and makes you feel for the characters and their plight.

I can see where it might piss of a lot of fans expecting an Xmen type vibe but this movie was so different, so unexpected and so great as a movie it is in a class all it's own.

With the R-Rating the violence was extreme and gory but at the same time not the central focus of the movie. It's not perfect but it's raw, unfiltered and definitely way better than I expected based on how little I cared about the last Wolverine movie.

I never feel anything emotionally from movies, not in decades but this was the first time I was actually emotionally connected to the story and wow... I didn't know a superhero movie could do that.

Expect the unexpected with this, it's so out there as a story it's fantastic and fresh.
