I know I sound like a Bible thumper but put your trust in God. If you halfway believe trust him, do it.
I was on the fence and made an assload of money but the more money you make the more you stray from God. He brought me back to his way of thinking. I still have the ability to rule the roost as far as fame and fortune go but I choose not to compromise myself. I'm weak and I know it.
Of course you can always trust Satan and have everything you ever want but you pay a price for what you get, a big price.
Go with God and a mediocre life and be thankful that you have what you have. And if he really likes you you just might become wealthy, just don't stray from him.
