Whatever started the fire, it has been said that the fire spread to the cladding on the outside of the building (which seems to be highly combustable) and that is how/ why such a big building went up in flames so fast. I own one of the Hotpoint fridges in question. On the day the model info of the fridge was made public I rang Hotpoint to tell them I had one of those fridges and was concerned. They took all of my contact information and have done sweet F.A since. Honestly, they're not worried/ bothered at all! I thought you guys may find this interesting because it does seem to support the theory that the fire wasn't caused by a malfunction of the fridge alone and therefore no recall. |
