This was a great game! When I was a kid we played this and lots of similar manual skill games like:
Marblehead
MouseTrap
Dont break the ice
Ants in the pants
Pick up Sticks
Operation
Perfection (so stressful!)

I hate to say it, but I bet there's a fricken APP that kids can play Kerplunk and these other games on their damn phones and tablets.

i figured it was still around but didn't look until after I posted, initially. Thanks. it's probably a buck or two on ebay also

Kerplunk and mouse trap were cool too, so was Tinkertoy, and Meccano.

The Rock Em Sock Em robots did a lot better than their first initial prototype, "Crochet-Knitting Robots"...

and a game with a guy balance on his nose at the top of a tripod looking thing.....used a fort to take rings off the tripod leg with out knocking him off....

I looked up "Kerplunk" on here and knew I wouldn't be disappointed.

I remember Kerplunk and a lot of other fun games growing up in the 1960's and 70's.

I used to sing the PREMIERE jingle for "Twister" since I was about 3:

"Milton Bradley has a new game it's the TWISTER--ER!

It's Twister, Woh-Hoh, GET IT, Twister!"

It introduced horny adolescents to rub their pee pees and cooches up against each other, not to mention the boys would take it one step further and "accidentally" cop a feel around the chest area. The gay boys would purposefully do it in the southern zone - OF OTHER BOYS! (AND DON'T TELL ME YOU DIDN'T, J. ALEXANDER! I ALMOST TOLD MY MOTHER ON YOU!!!)

Good, wholesome fun!

Now I just looked it up and see that I remembered it almost correctly!

It's only been 54 years!

These "Kids" are 65 now, prolly!

I liked the strategy and maneuvering needed to win Hungry Hungry Hippos.

I usually play Kerplunk at least once a day ......

My friends and I used to make bonfires and play until midnight... my granddaddy watching me play and proving more wood for the fire.

But I miss my granddaddy more than anything.

You remember him. The character actor also famous for uttering the ad catchphrase "with a name like Smuckers, it has to be good."

I got that when I was a kid in the 80s. Around the time that the first NES was being sold so when I saw the gift wrapped box I was beside myself with joy.

Imagine my disappointment when I unwrapped it and saw it was Kerplunk. I don’t think we ever played it. We just shoved it into the closet with all the other unplayed board games.

Now “Hotels”...that was a great board game. At least back then it was.

Shiiiiiiit When I was a kid in the 90s & early 2000s and we still loved this game!

Actually the board games are coming back in waves for the young kids. I thought the same thing but my nieces were saying they love the board games. I was so happy to hear this!!

Things that go KERPLUNK! in the night... Especially when you accidentally STEP ON, SMASH AND TRIP OVER YOUR KIDS' KERPLUNK GAME ON THE FLOOR!

Well that's useful information if I've ever heard it.
