If the maximun EFFECTIVE range of an M-16 is 800 meters, then they have made some wild improvements since the 80's. Using the same 5.56MM cartridge, that's hard to believe. It WAS under 400 meters, if I remember correctly.

The Maximum Effective Range is the range at which the bullet will kill or incapacitate a human. That's what I was taught, anyway.

The shooter was using high caliber fully automatic weapons with 50/75 round barrels...all of which are illegal. There were two shooters...what, the guy had two rooms and was running between them? That's true. You need a FFL (Federal Firearms License) for that.

You can't just buy one at a gun shop.

IT TOOK , ACCORDING TO THE SCANNER JUST OVER 20 MINUTES...to get to the SWAT and Triage stage ..

Honestly, if someone with just a little bit of knowledge had unlimited ammo, an FA rifle and 15min. I think there would be just as much if not more carnage. It's not difficult to throw a few thousand rounds out there in a few min.

And keep in mind, the bullets don't necessarily stop just because someone is hit... it'll keep going and possibly injure several people at once.
