Popping pills cause some quake tells you to and now coming to GP to get advice.. Your right you need help. But no one can fix stupid! Have a couple drinks, get off your ass, and go do something nice for someone. Rinse and repeat. |

I did watch it for a few minutes, but could not relax long enough to sit through the whole thing. Different things work for all of us. I find myself feeling more relaxed since reading your post and thinking about you trying to manage it all. Rather than just thinking about myself. It's so good of you to share, as always. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 38388680 United States 10/15/2017 04:35 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Paxil is an SSRI SSRIs can cause drastic shifts in your body's hormones, which can cause other unpleasant side effects. :( this is why even when I was feeling like the world was falling apart, I never took them. It can take several months to detox from those if the prescription is wrong for you. This is because it can take around three months for your hormones to re-regulate themselves naturally after they've been forcibly altered. I don't have experience with hypnosis myself. Hopefully it works for you :) I tend to drink a lot of tea, eat lots of eggs (great choline source which can help the brain/anxiety) meditate, and try to keep myself busy so I feel like I'm accomplishing "something" It's hard when you feel like you've lost your place in life, and when it feels like you've finally gotten some semblance of stability, you start waiting for the other shoe to drop. At least that's the story of my life the past several years. So while I can't say "I've been there" I think I've had some similar things happen in my life to know a bit of what you've been feeling. I'll admit that I personally have a bit of a fear of hypnosis, due to exposure to some people who were into it who...well lets just say they weren't good people. So I can't see it as a viable tool for myself because of those mental associations. I hope it works well for you though :) |

User ID: 66501207 United States 10/15/2017 04:37 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Have read and personally found that hypnosis needs to be repeated/reinforced periodically. How long does it last? That seems to vary greatly, even for the same person. Never heard of it lasting more than a week or 2 but I really don't know. My guess is a few days, maybe? Hopefully long enough for a person to develop different habits, a different, better way of seeing things? I did watch all of the video. He has a pleasant technique; might watch it again tomorrow or even again tonight, as the dogs wanted attention right before the end of it. They can be jealous sometimes. Quoting: A Friend I did this hypnosis video this morning. My anxiety and depression seem to have abated. My little story: I've stopped taking my antidepressant and have been feeling terribly ever since. I had to stop because the side effects became unbearable after the antidepressants had worked for a while. For those of you who say this is just the blues to get over it... I wish this were the case. In 1998 my home was destroyed by a mudslide. The town was giving residents who were harmed by the mudslide free counseling. I walked into the office of a nurse practitioner and before even sitting down she said, "You are depressed, here, take this prescription to be filled." It was for paxil. The paxil immediately changed my brain chemistry and caused me to have the diagnosis of bipolar after NEVER having trouble before. I know how bad depression can be. I want to live with no medication if possible. My life is an open book here and I just wanted those of you suffering too to have hope. [link to www.youtube.com (secure)] I'm actually wondering how long this will hold. Why would hypnosis work against this anyone know? Started lexapro 10mg 3days ago. Waiting to start counseling for other test. |

That may explain why I am craving them. I like this hypnosis because it is on video and you know beforehand that no one will try to take advantage of you. I had a terrible experience with hypnosis when I was 18 so I know it works. I'm glad I tried it. If I can do this and not take medication... It's as if when she is anxious, her logical brain takes over and freaks about everything. By doing something that activates her art brain, things slow down and she recovers quickly balance, depression stops, and she feels more joy. |
