We vegans must be the moral authority. No intelligent, moral, self aware being would eat the rotting flesh of another creature. They feel pain and they ate not property.

This is why op clearly stated that the ones that eat meat are raised like that. Much like Christians never asking why and just blindly following it because it's "tradition." That's not a valid excuse anymore. You know deep down what you're doing is wrong. Enslaving them, torturing them, putting them in circuses and wearing them is morally wrong. I was a vegetarian for 20 years & a vegan for 3. I was brought up on a farm and am married to a Farmer. I eat meat now after many years of soul searching. Where I live in Scotland the hills have been grazed by cattle & sheep for hundreds of years - it is the only thing the land can be used for in certain areas & the eco system has evolved with this type of farming so for me to eat local meat is actually more ethical & less environmentally damaging than eating soy & grains, many of which are intensively produced abroad & have to be imported.

Additionally, please be aware that eating only plants does not mean no suffering. Millions of little mammals get caught up in the blades of the harvesters every year. Here we have a particular problem with baby deer as they hide among the crops & don't run when the harvester rolls through.

I was brought up Christian but it was not forced on me, I was allowed to question everything. The message of Christianity is to show us how to live on Earth.It requires sacrifice and in the west under Christian teaching we managed to abstract that from making actual living sacrifices to sacrificing things in our lives in order to make the future (which is something we seem uniquely aware exists) better. We must sacrifice our own interests for the future. This is the message which has made the West the best place to live but now as we abandon that message we will see the fall of Western Society & values. It looks as though Islam is set to take over & when it does you will have something to cry about. There will be no 'minority' rights & animal rights will not exist - halal is already on sale everywhere...as for brainwashing Islam certainly knows how to go about doing that.

If you are for destruction of Christianity you had better know what you are going to replace it with & what the consequences of that could be.
