On October 21st, President Trump tweeted he will order the release of the files. “Subject to the receipt of further information, I will be allowing, as President, the long blocked and classified JFK FILES to be opened,” tweeted President Trump. 2800 ‘JFK Assassination’ files will be released Thursday night. However, redacted files will not see the light of day just yet. According to reports, the remaining files are set for release in 180 days. “2,800 #JFKFiles to be released tonight, WH official says; any redacted records won’t be released at this time,” tweeted CBS News. Tweet source: CBS News President Trump issued a statement Thursday night, citing “national security, law enforcement, and foreign affairs concerns,” for the delay. Intelligence agencies will be reviewing the redacted files for release in the next 180 days. The statement via CBS News reads: President Trump said Thursday evening that the public “deserves” to know as much as possible about the assassination, “executive departments and agencies (agencies) have proposed to me that certain information should continue to be redacted because of national security, law enforcement, and foreign affairs concerns. I have no choice –today — but to accept those redactions rather than allow potentially irreversible harm to our Nation’s security.” “To further address these concerns, I am also ordering agencies to re-review each and every one of those redactions over the next 180 days,” the statement adds. President Trump is reportedly unhappy with the delay. According to the White House, President Trump believes intelligence agencies are “not meeting the spirit of the law,” by withholding the JFK files. The decision came after the CIA gave Trump two options; delay the release until every file was certified ‘publishable,’ or risk national security by releasing unevaluated, unredacted files. President Trump selected the former. The “deep state” didn’t delay anything. All the documents would have automatically been released due to the 1992 law mandating their release. But Trump blocked the release of some of those...don’t make excuses for Trump’s action. Exactly. Trump is the one blocking the release, he is the only one with the authority to do so. Saying he had no choice is a lie. Had Trump simply done nothing, ALL documents would have been released, as required by the 1992 law. |

This is unacceptable from the agencies. once again "national security" eh? “national security, law enforcement, and foreign affairs concerns,” law enforcement? (riots?) To me, it sounds like Trump listened to his top dawgs and took their reccomendation and chose a lesser of two "evils", believing it could be a "national security threat." So the intelligence agencies know what this is? but they say what - in trumps office - "we can't tell you" and "you can't handle the truth"? Makes no sense. To me, it can only point to the involvement of a foreign gov. in the assassination! This is the only thing that Trump would allow to supercede as he said "the right" of the people to know! This is gettin' into some deep, gold fringe flag, battle of waterloo, 1872, roswell shit now. Interesting how this will play out and if there is a change in demeanor from the president.
