Publishers will still edit and make changes as they see fit. Go ahead and buy a Bible published in Britain and compare it to an american one and you'll see for yourself. I found missing or added words and sentences that changed the meaning of a paragraph significantly.

I understand what you are saying, because there is a living Bible, an NIV, a King James, etc, etc.

But you need to show an example of a British Bible being completely different, because even the NIV can lead a person to Christ and the fundamentals are there.

You have to take into account that the Holy Spirit is involved. One of the strongest and most well versed Christians I have ever know got saved reading the NIV. He has since moved into study Bibles contrasting the different versions, including Greek texts, the Catholic version, etc.There is no massive conflict in them.

Sorry but that hasn't been my personal experience. One thing is what it is and another what it should be. Logic tells us no book can ever be considered a pure text written by God when there have been so many humans involved in the making and editing of those texts.
