Well, I finally got my Christmas Tree up, now only if I could afford something to buy to put under it!

Only rich people truly enjoy Christmas, they have the money to buy anything they want. Would be nice if the rich could do a little giving this Christmas.

My wife has worked over 20 years and still only gets a measly $20.00 gift certificate for Christmas.

Sad to think that so many people completely miss the true meaning of Christmas.

Been at my job 20 yrs and get nothing.

I hope you're able to enjoy the important things and realize material possessions don't last as long as love

Have not put ours up for this very reason, christmas, what christmas....

If you have a wife who loves you, and you love in return, you have more than many "rich people" will ever have. Treasure and give thanks for each other. May your Christmas be blessed with things that really matter.

Get creative and make something. A little wood, paint or stain and you can make something really nice!

Women can do the same thing, they can bake, sew, or whatever.

Gifts don't have to be expensive to be great. In fact, the best things are not expensive. The best things have thought and effort put into them.

And if you're completely broke and can't afford to bake or make something, then make up "gift certificates" for your loved one. Back rubs, foot massages.......get creative!

Beg to differ ... people who don't have much truly appreciate what they have, which is hopefully their health, meaningful employment they enjoy, an unbroken family, and opportunity to often contemplate God's gift of creation.

Made in China crap doesn't even register when measured against any one of those.

If you like the festiveness of a Christmas tree, put it up!

What is even the point of sniveling on GLP? You have either a smartphone or PC and internet access, maybe you should cut back in some areas?

My internet is FREE thanks to my neighbor giving me his WI-FI password. I do NOT own a smartphone and my PC is almost 15 years old!
