I learned something about exorcists years ago because at one time I was highly fascinated by this subject and absorbed everything I could get on the topic.

One of the reasons that the Catholic Church is so interested in exorcisms is that they desire to obtain information about the underworld etc., and are less interested in the fate of the hapless victim then they claim to have.

Often the possessed is assume to be 'lost' and thus expendable and the process is used to obtain knowledge which the church desires.

This is why you turn him over to GOD to deal with.

You CANNOT WIN an argument with the devil...he knows your secret desires/sins, and uses them against you to sin against God.
