If I had children, I wouldn't want them hanging out with teens.
I've been doing a lot of reminiscing about my life recently.

Here are some of my memories...

I was in sixth grade when Guns N Roses' Appetite for Destruction came out. I bought it immediately, and some of my friends did too.

I didn't just listen to it, I memorized every word. I remember my friends and I quoting and discussing the lyrics.

I had memorized the entire Licensed to Ill album by Beastie Boys memorized by the time I was twelve.

By a year later, I was into porn as my friends were.

That's not stuff children do. If I had children, I wouldn't want them hanging out with teens because teens aren't children.

Children should not be exposed to what teens are doing, thinking, and talking about. That's why teens move on to middle school while children are kept in primary school.

Why do people forget that and call teens children?

The ptb always set their sights on teens; get em hooked on cigarettes, alcohol, drugs, porn, deviant sex.

All destructive behaviors. But, the little ones look up to their teenage siblings wanting to emulate them .

There was a reason why movies like fast times at ridgemont high and porkys came out.

The bizarre thing is that my parents didn't care about what music I listened to despite the fact that they're deeply religious.

My sister was similar to me. I thought nothing of this when it happened but...

She bought a copy of Stone Temple Pilot's Core when she was 12.

What the hell is a 12-year-old girl doing that for?

"Nightrain" is probably the most subversive song on Appetite for Destruction, and it's actually a giant warning against what it seems to be promoting. It really isn't bad as long as you think about what's being said. Thankfully I was doing that even at 12. I did take it as a warning then.

Nonetheless, this is not stuff for children. I would never expect children to be interested something like this in any way.

"Girls" is probably the most subversive song on Licensed to Ill. There's no sugarcoating it, and there are no redeeming characteristics. Even at 11 I took it as a silly fantasy because I knew that real life isn't like what's described in the song.

Those were my thoughts on those songs way back then. I remember it clearly.
