Congress has known for years they have been illegally taxing the american people.

now they made it legal.

^^^From what the article states, they've now stopped the courts from enforcing the illegal income tax.

I must admit the writing was a little dense and I may have misconstrued some things, but that's how I understood it.

The income tax has nothing to do with the constitution. If anything it has to do with the law of contract. Plus as I like to say, it is voluntary. After you volunteer, it is mandatory.

Doesn't do much good floating around in decentralized exchanges. Some day you need to convert that to fiat. You put that money into your bank account then what?

I read it, but I was hoping someone with a legal background would chime in. It's a long article, but if it's something as important as de-clawing the IRS, it's worth it.

If so then taxing btc is a fail.unless gove gave it an exemption.if btc is free to run then dollars will fail.with time.as it stands right now,all land school and fines are required by law to accept dollars as payment.of course gov entities dont make change but they are required to accept it instead of check or card,if one chooses.
We had a corrupt court in town and for a while they required all fines and probation fees in postal money orders.

I wouldn't think btc is income, unless you're being paid in it. I don't even know how or if they have a classification for it yet.

Maybe the form is optional. You use the 1040 if you don’t itemize.
