MOSCOW, Apri 21 (RIA Novosti) - Russia's Space Agency is ready to send Russia's richest man, London-based Roman Abramovich, on a flight around the Moon for $300 million after 2010.

"Some press reports have said Roman Abramovich has submitted his candidacy for flying around the Moon for $300 million," Anatoly Perminov, head of the agency, said. "The figure is attractive, and ... we will consider the proposal after 2010."

Perminov said until 2009 all space tourist flights had been signed up.

The Moon Hoax Believers will have a fit if he does this and
proves that radiation hazards aren't as dangerous to astronauts
as they try to claim.

There is little neutron radiation in space. The other forms of radiation can be blocked.

And really, it won't cost Russia anything other than swapping one of the three crew for a paying passenger who will have to learn to do the Job.

They are going anyway. There's Helium 3 in them thar lunar sands!

So far the Race is America -VS- Russia and Europe -VS- China.

All bets are off....

What are they going to do, freeze dry him first?

Russia, putting a man around the moon in just two years? Lots of Luck.

This is a pretty expensive hit. 100% of Russian (Soviet) manned Moonshots blew up before achieving Earth orbit.

That was the old N1 rocket. With this mission an upgraded soyuz ship will be launched separate from the lunar injection stage.

Docking is now a reliable undertaking in space. No need to shoot everything at once. Even NASA is taking the Multi-launch approach to its Lunar Program.

You don't need the N-1 booster, a stripped down version of the Soyuz was to be launched by a Proton booster and do a lunar circumnavigation. This was in the 1960s.

It is a helluva lot easier to do today with almost off the shelf Russian hardware.

he should take Jose Mourinho with him, better not take Frank Lampard though, the rocket will never take off with that fat useless lump on board.
