DNA Testing, A Secret Group Contacted me & Sent me a DNA test kit from Oregon. What gives?
About 4 weeks ago, out of the blue, I received a call from Oregon. The man spun a yarn about, 1. He was the Administrator of a group of people, and 2. He had picked me out of all the persons in America with the same last name, and 3. that THEY were focusing on me specifically as the long lost great, great, great, great grandson of the Prussian King, Fredrick the Great.

A little backstory about me. I am a Detective, a Private Detective. Guys if there's one thing I know, it's how to find people. That's our bread and butter, finding UnSubs for law firms and "interested parties." You can't hide from us.

So I asked the Administrator how did they come up with my name out of the many whom have my same first name and last name match?

He couldn't tell me. He honestly had no clue what he was doing in locating UnSubs like I do every day. No databases. No friend of a friend or family relationship correlation matching of any kind. Just out of the blue, called me up and told me he was going to be sending me a DNA test kit.

I agreed to see if he actually would send it. Sure enough, the kit arrived in the mail a week later.

Suffice it to say, I'm apprehensive.

What's going on here friends?

Has anyone else had this call, please?

I would never give my DNA to anyone in a kit. Maybe you should use your skills to trace and track this guy and maybe what and who makes the kit and where it came from . Nothing is coincidence. Use your skills. Track the number, the mailing etc. Don't give anyone your DNA..you may become a victim of real IDENTITY theft. They could plant it somewhere and you won't be able to deny it is YOU. Be very careful. Start digging for the truth.

Good point. The test is free to me. He said it's all been paid for. Just send in your test kit.

Something is very fishy about this.

I wouldn't send it back. No DNA to anyone.

Is it possible that you have a child out there somewhere in your travels? I have been all over the world (that was many moons ago...LOL) in the military. There could be a mini me running around somewhere.

Someone is looking for a specific DNA match it sounds like. Be careful

there are groups of people who are crazy trying to prove family links to famous ancestors and the more people they can test, the better the results. I would google your last name with family dna research (or any such variable) to find out what they might be looking for.

Oldest scam in the book. They will hit you back up a few weeks later and tell you all about how you inherited 50 million dollars! Then they will ask for your routing and account number for your direct deposit or 10k to do the paperwork and file the legal papers for your inheritance.

Watch!!!!

Are they hunting family members of the Prussian Royals who plunged Europe into WW 1?

Yes I do claim this to be true. BUT, you see, we have to have a paying client to be able to fire up the expensive databases that the public has no clue about.

We cannot, willy-nilly, throw in names because we're curious or for personal research. We are audited heavily.

The fact they gave you so little information is the tip off.

That's how scam artists always work. Or they say the know a secret and will share that secret with you in return for a fee. Loads of scammers out there. Always take extra precautions. And or call the police if your not sure.
