Solar is a scam.. has always been a scam. Unless you have extremely high electric rates like out in Hawaii it generally takes 15-18 years for you to break even on the cost of the panels. By that time you will have to replace your batteries which cost 2000-8000 for most units and by the time your panels are 20 years old they have lost good percentage of their efficiency and are beginning to need replacement. Now if you get a leak in your roof or need to replace your shingles you need to uninstall your panels do the roof and reinstall them which will cost you $2000-$4000 depending on where you live. It’s just a big money scam... by the time you break even you are replacing it all again and paying for your electricity 10-20 years in advance and good luck trying to recoup that cost when you sell the house with those hideous panels on your roof. Not many buyers like the look because let’s be honest, they make your house look hideous
