Quoting: Astral Goat And I have to go to urgent care for that? I swear this health care system is totally screwed. Come on over beezlegoat and I'll stitch you right up (this does not constitute an invitation or consent it constitutes a reality and a joke). I should say "heal thyself physician" or "I might actually stitch your mouth shut accidentally" but I didn't say that. I will say: fishing line (10 lb give or take) and a crescent needle and hand sanitizer...you could use bakers twine theoretically and it will be fun taking it out. I had 7 staples put in at an ER and it cost $6500 Also a small wound that they super glued shut, probably charged $500 or more just for that ... and it opened back up two days later and I had to use regular super glue and butterfly bandages to close it back up you expect an ER to be expensive, but that's ridiculous even worse that an "urgent care" would charge that much |

I mean, if you think about it, generally people don’t intentionally create gaping wounds on themselves that need repairing. Take care of yourself Goat and get better soon! Anonymous Coward User ID: 76239168 Australia 05/16/2018 11:28 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Where the fuck are all the show off nurses gone? My kid got hit by a car, thank goodness it was a stupid little low sporty piece of crap driven by 'problems'. He went over the bonnet then up over the roof. I'm glad there was no 'social media' on scene. His choice only, to go for 'observation' for a couple of hours. Something a good mother does anyway... They gave him the triple, in the tetnus. Smiled at me and wasn't sure how I would respond, a subtle dare to argue or stand my ground with 'their' expert opinion. Just like the not so subtle 'sew the lips' comment, border patrol, boat people reference. We have used super glue, in our house. Softens skin to loosen off in water, keep it dry for a couple of days, a must if you want it to 'stitch', tape holding it closed is good too. Blood flowing out of a wound, nothing is going in. as clean as possible, wipe, pinch and glue, cover the 'cut' and surrounding area. Hold it and let it dry completely. Tape across, while not releasing 'holding together', doesn't matter what tape. Keep dry. If you want to test your skills in medicine and nursing go to a fucking war zone! DON'T set up BULLSHIT for PRACTICE EVER AGAIN. YOU KNOW |

I have had cuts like this man who likes to sew himself, but I never felt need to stitch that. I have a few scars but nothing serious and I am perfectly fine. Cover the wound, keep it clean. And just use common sense. IDK maybe Im just different..?
