Trump fears that if he acknowledges what the Russians did on his behalf, he'll be an illegitimate president. But by acting like Putin's puppet, he already seems like one.


This witch hunt is turning up a disturbing number of witches, and none of them are that “400-pound guy on his bed” President Donald Trump sought to blame for hacking the Democratic National Committee during the 2016 campaign.

Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s indictments of 12 Russian military intelligence officials for hacking into the DNC and interfering with the 2016 election should have been another wake-up call for an administration that keeps defiantly hitting the “snooze” button. In fact, it’s time for everyone to open their eyes and act to save our democracy.

We can’t keep on conducting business as usual — especially with an administration that long ago jettisoned any semblance of normalcy. In light of these new indictments, at the very least Trump should have postponed Monday's meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin. But of course he did not.
