Is he excessively licking himself in a particular area? Or Sensitive to touch.
Touch his body all over check for bumps. Bot fly larvae grow slowly.
Quoting: Yesterday ~ Today ~ Tomorrow If it is a bot fly usually it’s no big deal. In most cases fhey eventually just pop out. I paid the vet $600 for threee visits and he did not detect the problem. I found the bump. It is very distressing when an living creature has a parasite feeding on it. It causes anxiety, loss of appetite, lethargy and bloody stools (from the stress).
