If we do end up having another Civil War, I'll just say this-

It's not gonna be because the right was wrong, or even because the right wasn't willing to sit down and find some middle ground. It's gonna be because the Left has no fucking clue how Un-Civil War actually is.
They think they've seen war because they were alive during Desert Storm, and remember 9/11 and the circle jerk of pseudo-wars we've pretended to be in since. They believe they want war, because they've played all the Call of Duty video games. They instigate war because they know not what they are doing.
I think it's IMPERATIVE for us to realize this, if we are going to be able to muster up the amount of empathy needed to deal with someone who hates you for no other reason than because it helps them hate themselves less. If the left was a person, chances are it would be 30 years old and not sure if he wants to be a boy or a girl or not. Because that's how spoiled we have become and I think it's pretty important that we remember that If bombs were falling and war was raging here in America, not a goddamn one of us would give a shit about targets bathroom policies... but hell, I could be wrong as well, never been scared of being wrong before, as the mistake is the single greatest tool in terms of human evolution that we've ever had at our disposal.
I've re-watched the Ken Burns documentary about The Civil War, and I mean, we all know history repeats itself, but, if that truly is the case, then why the fuck do we seem to be barreling towards that reality, full steam ahead? One of the first battles of the Civil War spectators actually came out to cheer on the union army and they sat and watched and carriages like it was a fucking spectator television show. Shit didn't get real until stonewall Jackson turn the tides in that battle and drove the union army into retreat subsequently causing confusion and panic as the retreating union army get bottlenecked in with the fleeing union spectators.
Generals were literally labeled in sane at the start of the Civil War by simply predicting that there would be at least 10,000 deaths, and that it would take much longer than the 6 months they were originally expecting. In hindsight, I feel this may very well be what we are experiencing now. Both sides full of legitimate scorn- one, because the other is taking a moral high ground to try and gain power, and the other, well... because they want what the other has. It wasn't about slavery, it was a dick measuring contest that ended with the spilling of 1.5 million young American's blood. It's a pity that we are here, now, at this point where we are all kind of tired with this toxicity, and it feels like every day we inch closer to someone finally snapping: the next John Brown, let's say.
No matter if you're Republican or Democrat or liberal or a fucking Muslim , if America truly is who we thought she was, and what we hope she can be, we cannot allow our politics to trump our country (no pun intended). Believe that all those fucking morons on the left, deep down, are actually victims of a much more sinister threat. They are your brother who was brainwashed and turned against you. They know not what they do. And like it or not, that Lincoln fucker was right, A house divided ain't a house at all, it's a goddamn safety hazard, and right now folks, when it comes to the weather in America, storms have been rolling in for a while now.
Do something nice for a stranger this week. Better yet, do something nice for a liberal stranger. Hold a door, say thank you, just be humble and treat them as if they haven't been completely out of control, because guess what, that's the only thing they're gonna respond to positively. Let em shit on your beliefs if they want to, you know they only do it because they have no beliefs of their own yet.
I say that if we are gonna have another's Civil War, well by God, let's make sure that we can say afterwards that we did everything we could to make it more "civil" and less "war". Fuck all the morality being preached, because what it all boils down to is this - We are all simply trying to be and be let be, and that, my friends, is something special-both worth and not worth fighting for.
