Fuck being nice to people.

3 guys working in the heat all day to build a gate for our neighborhood - I get home, pack a cooler with 3 cold waters, 3 cold sprites, and 3 cold coors lights. I said "thanks guys, just throw the cooler on my back porch when u r done"

They were taken aback but thankful - I know from firsthand experience it feels great when someone does something nice for you for no reason at all. You smile all day. I like doing this for others because I know how it makes me feel. It cost me 5 bucks but at the end of a hard day maybe they are smiling. That's all....my point is that small kindness is contagious and - i'm probably too idealistic in this view but no one can talk me out of it - is the way we come together

thanks for the kind words. It takes so little effort just to show a little kindness and I can't help but think "pay it forward" is a realistic way to get us back to the community spirit we need

How hard is it to ask the lady next to you if she needs help loading the 20lb bag of dog food into her car? Simple. Neighborly. God knows I would hope someone would do that for my mom! Just do it and don't expect a medal for it. Do it because it's right
