Quoting: 4by2 That's a runaway train you'll not stop if the Feds pick it up; once posted there's no way of knowing how things will turn out or how it will be taken...an early morning knock at the door awaits. Not your brightest idea I'm sure. An empty pvc pipe with no caps is no threat. mailed to myself I do not think I have anything to worry about. Maybe just to be safe I will put something semi fragile in the pipe so I can say it was used to protect what was inside. |

(OP) User ID: 75805197 United States 10/27/2018 01:31 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Just have to be concerned about 'them' labeling it "bomb making materials" .. you know how it goes.. Quoting: Sandpoint Idaho I actually have an explosives license. I get what could be considered bomb making stuff mailed to me on a regular basis. I once had 5 pounds of Potassium Percolate show up weeks late. It had been opened and inspected bu the postal inspectors and DEA according to the letter that arrived with it. It had gotten damaged in shipping and the contents were visible. Potassium Percolate is a fine white powder. It was packaged in large clear bags with duct tape around them. I am sure they thought they had caught someone getting cocaine delivered though the mail. They were no doubt disappointed when it tested and was what the paperwork said it was |

I preferred your suggestion of a plastic pipe protecting a fragile object better...no wires though. Last Edited by 4by2 on 10/27/2018 02:35 PM |

User ID: 76665745 United States 10/27/2018 02:30 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | OK, Quoting: Jeff_43 I am thinking of mailing myself a empty PVC pipe along with some wire and a small clock. I will make sure it no way can be considered a bomb or hoax device. I will put it in a box in another state and mail it to my home address. If it comes with no postal marks on the stamps then that will show that sometimes they do not mark the stamps. But we would need more than one to prove that it happens a lot so several people should try it. If some people in Florida could test it that would be even better Ummm. just no.
