Re: $6,500 a week + hotel for nurses to treat unaccompanied minors at border....
pleeeeezzze ... what planet are you from, where it cost over six grand to house people in TENTS ... nurses are paid by the hour ... if they are government employees ... they are not costing any extra - working regular hours ...

how dumb do you think we are

these people can not claim that they are seeking aslyum because MEXICO offered them jobs and they turned them down ... so they aren't going to be allowed to cross the border

do you get it now? ... anyone who crosses our borders without being processed are breaking our laws and will be treated as criminals

it's not costing us a thing to keep them out ... that is what our troops are paid to do - already --
PROTECTing OUR BORDERS from foreign invaders is our #1 priority
 Quoting: Shadow Dance

The nurse I know is not a Gov. Employee. She is a traveling nurse. And she is making $6,500 a week + hotel to stay down in TX and work at a facility housing 17 and under migrants.

The cost for keeping them in the tents, and food and whatever is extra.

So this is a contract job..and paid for by who? That is the question. Guessing taxpayers...as I didn't see a thread on Soros paying for it.

Got an offer for McAllen right now for $84/he +expenses, $20k just to sign a 6 month contract.

I’m curious if you can maybe say in a round about way - keeping your anonymity - the person you know that is working down there....how did they get hired or what angeny did they go through?

See I’ve been keeping a close eye on usajobs.gov to see what jobs they are hiring for - ICE or CBP or Homeland Security etc.

There is nothing new listed in the border areas - other then the usual hiring.

Reading through everyone's posts, I have to agree with the terrible set of living conditions that exists.

It is truly sad.

No, I don't have a contact for anyone to go work down there.

And I truly can't imagine the intricacy of dealing with cartels.

Any of you who are parents, know we would do anything for our children's safety.

I saw that amnesty was offered in Mexico with jobs. Is that better than where they are coming from?

Perhaps gathering a few thousand people together and homesteading somewhere where they can protect themselves and build a self sustainable city?

Kickstarter sanctuary Country?

Honestly not sure.

She was a traveling nurse. They do make an incredible amount of money - and from what I hear are in high demand.

Seems we have a nursing shortage?

Re: $6,500 a week + hotel for nurses to treat unaccompanied minors at border....
I have a relative who was an ICE agent about 10 years ago. She has a degree in social work and psychology. She speaks fluent Spanish.

Her job was to care for the children picked up when they busted smugglers/human traffickers.

Most of the kids had been raped or beaten. Many came from abusive homes in the old country. Most had other medical problems.

Her biggest problem was kids escaping from the hospital because their fear of strangers was so great.

One day, her boss told her they were going for training in El Paso. She declined because she had a sick child at home to care for.

The Boss and entire team died in a machine guy drive-by ambush on Interstate 10. Apparently, the team did not take the bribes from the cartel.

This incident was NOT covered in the MSM. Obama was prez and they did not want to let people know that Mexican cartels were freely operating in the USA and ambushing ICE agents.

GLP, the cartels are HERE. The fedgov is overloaded with traitors still taking bribes from the cartels.

The job is enormous, but we need to root out the traitors and the cartels they serve.

Make me wonder which pols, judges, and police also accept the bribes?

The children are the victims!
 Quoting: darth

I believe the cartels control the border. I saw video of ICE supposedly patrolling a section of the Rio Grande river. They're afraid even to be on the river. They stay up away from it, and when a guy operates a ferry service across the river, they can never quite catch him.

BS. They don't want to try to stop him or they can't.

This is why Trump is sending 15,000 military to the border. This migrant caravan gives him the excuse he needs to militarize the border with OUR troops and push out the cartels.

I feel sorry for kids who have been abused. They didn't make that choice. But I saw people in the current caravan interviewed, and the first reason they said they were bringing kids was education. They are bringing kids for the services they'll receive here, even in custody.

I hope that $6500 per week pays for taking care of more than one illegal immigrant child, like a whole group of them. Does it?

So sorry to hear that.

I do believe the children are the victims as well.

However, I also believe we as a Country are handling this whole thing terribly.

I have always been inspired to help people. Many years ago I was having a conversation with a very wise man, who brought up the subject of sustainability.

I wanted to create a humanitarian group that would feed people who had no food. He told me that it would never help. That the best idea was to teach people to grow their own food. Then they could teach others, and so on.

This is the idea we need to get into.

Unfortunately, this seems like it needs to be handled by the leaders of the Countries involved.

The symptom is refugees, yet treating the symptom never works.

 Quoting: Bodhi Sita

One more thing:

Who is the primary customers of the cartels "business?"

That is a really key question.
 Quoting: Bodhi Sita

The human and drug smuggling cartels (same groups) get paid to take people across the border. They enslave and sell attractive young women including teenagers to brothels in the USA.

Sometimes, they hold people for ransom in addition to the fees paid up front. If ransom is not paid, the cartels kill the would-be immigrants and cremate the bodies.

I had a Mexican immigrant (legal) who worked for me years ago. She told me that the Mexican reporters had uncovered the story that over TEN THOUSAND immigrants, mainly from Central America, had been murdered because their poverty stricken families could not pay the additional ransom.

This woman, who originally swam the Rio Grande as a child, now says, "BUILD THE WALL! AS LONG AS THERE IS NO WALL, THE CARTELS WILL KEEP MURDERING IMMIGRANTS".

I'll bet most Americans do not realize that building the wall is a COMPASSIONATE thing to do. Better for all.

As far as fixing the Latin American countries with the dis-functional economies, my relatives from Central America say that it is almost impossible to start and run a business without constant extortion and kidnap threats.

If we truly care, we will have to help the peasants kill off the cartels, gangs, and crooked pols/police. And you would have to change the culture that allowed the crime to flourish in the first place.

In short, we cannot solve their problems for them. They have to get fed up with crime and corruption, as in Brazil, and elect leaders with huevos big enough to clean it up.
 Quoting: darth

That sounds like a very accurate perception of the root problem.

There is a great amount of money in those centers for illegal children and sometimes their moms who have babies while there.

They are nicer than most school or anything else for US citizens and their children. The taxes pay for an place that is not helpful to illegals in the real world. They can not stay there forever!

EXACTLY!!!

Refugees are CREATED so they can FORCE their solution and make it palatable to the masses

ONE WORLD GOVERNMENT

No Nation States

No Ethnic homogeneity

No Cultural Identity

No History!

Remember when Merkel said the MULTI-CULTI idea was not working?

Then all of a sudden she's the biggest refugee booster taking selfies with many Mohammed's at a time?

How much did she SELL GERMANY-and ----EUROPE FOR?

We are fighting a behemoth - and they are using our OWN TAX MONEY against us ...

There has to be a line somewhere

Where would bleeding hearts put it?

At the border? At the neighborhood where you live ?

At your front door?

Or kick you OUT of your own house!

And put the line at the office where you wait for housing while immigrants occupy YOUR Apartment like Swedes must do? Elderly Swedes - while the invaders rape their granddaughters ...

Where's the line?

I stand with Trump - draw the line - use whatever non-lethal weapons we have to keep them out - then use lethal force if they don't stop at the border.
