Like Bob Dylan has for years, but Dylan has relented there are lots of Dylan songs up now. I imagine Hendrix Family may relent as well at some point? And get whatever $$$ they can putting them up themselves and claiming ownership of uploads by others. Seems to be the way it's done now? Quoting: CK Dexter Haven Yeah, Jimi Hendrix is still very popular, the views on the video would generate plenty of money for them. Also, free music is like free advertising and leads to more sales. |

Quoting: CK Dexter Haven I've got tons of Hendrix releases. A lot of them are the same stuff repackaged, bootlegs etc. A couple I highly recommend are the Purple Velvet Book, a 2000 four CD box set. All the songs are alternate versions, many I've never seen on any other release. Really really good set. And the Winterland box set, easily among the best live recordings available. My pleasure! I loved these posthumous Hendrix albums... The Cry of Love Rainbow Bridge War Heroes Loose Ends Crash Landing Midnight Lightning Nine to the Universe Band of Gypsys |

The Cry of Love Rainbow Bridge War Heroes Loose Ends Crash Landing Midnight Lightning Nine to the Universe Band of Gypsys There are pretty much no bad Hendrix albums. Even the ones where it's just Jimi jamming with posthumously added drum and bass. BBC sessions cassette got a lot of play in my car back in the day, as did a Jimi Hendrix 'Flashing' tape that was actually a Curtis Knight album repackaged with Jimi's name on the front.
