during the Vietnam war we were not being over come with folks from that country like we are today with people from Venezuela...plus....it was basically impossible for people to just walk into this country from the countries we were fighting......lost of water...lots and lots of water in between us and them....like an ocean.

so yes it could be far worse....the war will spill inside our borders thanks to the stupid left.

Maduro ought not be trying to throw around weight he does not possess. Perhaps he isn't familiar with the USA and should read up on a little history. We don't, as a rule, take threats and demands lightly.

The fact that his two or three or four tons of gold were stopped at the airport before being loaded for a quick flight out to his landing of choice no doubt hurt his feelings badly. Now that his main fortune has been returned to almost the rightful owners, he will want to fight even harder to hang on to whatever illegitimate power he has. Bad plan. He no doubt has stolen and secreted away enough money stolen from the people to last him several lifetimes. Just go on, bubba - get out of town if you can find a way, and let your "power" go.

That's the whole point - everybody has a pony in the race, and neither China, nor Russia, nor the US, are good losers. Not good at all. Wall-to-wall discussions on the matter will end badly, and I think we would come out ahead. However, that would put a torch to all the other disputes between countries, and to some philosophical disagreements as well.

This likely is not going to end as a fairy tale. More like a nightmare, for many.

Nah...no war. He will just let it implode. Just about there already. Us going in and setting up puppet regimes just doesn't work. The "people" have to be the ones to do it and have any lasting results
