If you could prove it, she might be eligible for some veteran benefits... I am guessing. Quoting: My Fear I believe it's 6 months in Kansas for common law marriage, so I will have her look into that! Thanks because it didn't cross my mind until you mentioned it! I Want To Believe |

Personally, too many that may have been to Iraq or Afghanistan while in the Military are making medical claims of PTSD as an excuse to collect a payday for life. Not everyone kicked open doors and had to clear a room with a M4. Many, many more were paper pushers, mechanics, etc that didn't do the work that causes PTSD. Don't let it be an excuse. Personally, I say sue the him and the family civilly and if proven for PTSD, sue the government for releasing a monster. Sorry about your daughter, just don't buy all the PTSD shit. |

Quoting: cosmicgypsy I am going to make a donation tomorrow. I am a survivor of domestic violence, and while it wasn't good, it was nowhere near as bad as what happened to your daughter. She's going to need a lot of help, and she's so very fortunate she has you for a mother.... My healing heart goes out to both you and your daughter... Same to you! Take care of yourself, my friend. Your thread really gave me quite a scare when I saw it! I've been thinking about her so much this afternoon. Please give her a hug and a kiss from cosmicgypsy, and tell her I'm thinking of her often, okay? Domestic violence is brutal, and we just never forget. We can hopefully forgive, so we can move on with our lives, but we can never forget. Tell her I love her, lovey.... You never change things by fighting the existing reality. To change something build a new model that makes the existing model obsolete. -Buckminster Fuller ...I adapt to the unknown, under wandering stars I've grown, by myself, but not alone... It went well. They didn't need to do a skin graft from the leg like they had originally thought and was able to use her scalp skin. She will follow-up again with him on the 20th and her orthopedic surgeon for the shoulder/wrist on the 22nd and start her physical therapy on the 25th. I Want To Believe |

(OP) User ID: 76946759 United States 03/23/2019 01:06 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | My daughter had her follow-up appointment with the orthopedic surgeon's assistant today to get her cast removed from her forearm and wrist area finally! She starts physical therapy twice a week starting next Monday. Also, on Wednesday she had a follow-up appointment with the plastic surgeon for her ear surgery she had two weeks ago to further shape the ear. Right now, it's hard to say if he's done with the ear, so he will need to see her in another month after its had a chance to further heal to reassess whether he will need to do additional work on the top of her ear or not.
