"Falling" implies a straight line, orbits are not straight but they are considered to be "falling" into the larger body. However, if gravity was acceleration, something like the moon would have either already fallen into the earth long ago or it would have broken away and been speeding in a straight line through space beside the earth. Science can explain the actions/results of gravity quite well but they cannot explain what it is. |
