Help: PAYPAL now targeting ebay sellers

This leaves me in a real bind. I have many thousands of dollars of inventory in stock, and no way to sell it.

If anyone has expertise about setting up a merchant website, I'd be very grateful for you advise.

This is new territory for me, but I'm intelligent, and eager to learn.

Any merchant selling these products and offering PP is either doing so without PP's knowledge or with written permission. That permission can be revoked by PP at any time, for any reason, without explanation, and without recourse by the merchant.

They DO monitor web activity to determine IP address activity for
fraud & hacks.

I sold an Iphone last year and somehow the buyer was issued a refund.

When I called paypal, they used my ip address history as PROOF that I issued the refund from my phone's APP, which I didn't do.

So in the least, they are definitely monitoring web activity.

I wish I could, Rey. There are no other options for accepting payments on ebay.

Have you heard about ebay Managed Payments? It is a new thing & not trusted by many sellers. I believe you have to sign up with a bank account that your payments will be deposited into. I'm not sure if you would even be able to sign up as it says they are rolling it out thru 2021.It's not as convenient as PayPal, but it would be worth looking into if you can't continue with PayPal.

What we are dealing with with Paypal, Fakebook, Twatter, etc, is actually several violations of anti-trust and monopoly issues. They need to enforce the antitrust and monopoly laws, IN EVERYTHING.

Perhaps, in another communication, you can mention to Paypal that antitrust issues need to be addressed.

Hopefully they will just respond and rescind the stupid suspension.

Hope it works out. It's tough to set up a site without taking Paypal for items, and getting people to go there is difficult as well.

Phone apps spy on people and collect info on you without you being aware. Never surf the internet with payment apps on your phone or tablet. You don't want the banks nor credit card companies to know you visit places like GLP. Keep your controversial internet surfing for the PC that you don't do any banking on and use a foreign vpn that doesn't keep logs.

Not sure on the timetable but Ebay is replacing Paypal, you should have received notice of this last year.

I know Ebay eliminate vaping juice as being able to be sold but they still allow vaping devices and accessories. Many online vape stores utilize Paypal as a means of checkout (stores not related to Ebay) so I'm thinking there must be some other problem with what you are selling. Perhaps they are thinking it is drug related???

I've used non PayPal transactions before on ebay.

There is a lot of scams going on which makes it harder for Ebay & paypal both to control. Especially people like you that don't have computer skills, one wrong move and they steal your information. How you expect ebay or paypal to know it is real you.

When you receive email that ask you to click here. Never click within that email. Get out of there. If you need to go to Ebay, start from the URL of your browser (Fresh page). If you need to go to Paypal, do the same.

These hackers got so sophisticated that even the skilled people make mistakes and fall for their tricks. I am sure if you work with paypal and they know that you are a victim, they will help you. Good luck.

I get next day deposits with PP, and at least a $20k line of credit if I want it. I've done well over 7 figures in volume with PP. They don't mess with me whatsoever.

From what I understand, Ebay is phasing out paypal and going with their own ebay payments anyway so it won't even matter in the future. Check into it.

I've recently purchased a window curtain from an ebay seller that didn't accept paypal, only ebay's payments. I asked her why and that is what she told me.
