I think understanding the cosmos is highly important. Most of the technology we have today is due to the studies of the cosmos and military.

Do any of you dingbats understand that what they do is take wave and other data based on measurement instruments of various types and turn that info into an image-map? Its called technology folks and yes it actually works and is accurate.

Looks pretty much like I would expect a black hole to look. It sounds like they have some interesting time series data though showing the rate of rotation of the accretion disk. I'm going to be very interested to see the papers published about it.

Miles Mathis is an idiot who doesn't even accept that the Falcon rocket landings are real and you can see that in person right now today. He is utterly incapable of distinguishing reality from fiction. I tried to show him my proof that he's wrong and of course he won't even listen.

Sounds expensive and I believe there are other technical hurdles with that idea as well. It would be awesome though.

Yeah, I can't think any other way of preserving phase information at light frequencies though. Radio is easy because the wavelength is so long, you can sample at a rate much higher than the frequency.
